Envirovision Waterproof bathroom TV model selection
There are two types of envirovision models, both of which are designed to meet the safety requirements for wet areas including bathrooms. Both feature front ingress protection against water jets (IP65). Models EA have integrated stereo amplifiers which feed two supplied ceiling mounted waterproof speakers, whilst models IA have integral front facing waterproof stereo speakers. Once you have decided upon integral speakers or external speakers, the location of your television will determine its electrical safety rating and the specification required. In order to meet current UK and European requirements and laws for installation into wet areas, and for your safety and the safety of others, the correct selection is critical. *Versions ending with 0 are for locations in zones 1 and above. e.g. 19EA0 |

You must select envirovision models EA0 or IA0. These models in addition to being manufactured to IP65 ingress protection against water jets, feature a separate low voltage power supply for additional safety precautions. This should be wired in accordance to local wiring regulations |
| The sixteenth edition of IEE wiring regulations has now been amended and brought nearer to practices used in other European countries. In particular a system of Zoning is used. Thereby making it easier to plan which items may be located within these zones. If you television is to be mounted within 0.6 metres horizontally and 2.25 metres vertically of a bathtub, shower basin, sink basin and/or water source, it will be in Zone 1. If this is the case, you must install the low powered envirovision models EA0 or IA0. Any location outside of zone 1, you may install models EA1 or IA1. If in doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
